Problems with the supply of Russian gas and, as a consequence, a difficult winter, said Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles. In an interview with La Razon, she assessed the situation and the possible consequences if such problems do occur.
As Robles said, a situation with a very difficult winter against the background of problems with Russian gas supplies to the EU may indeed arise. According to the minister, this will be the most difficult moment since the fall of the Berlin Wall, when the world was "divided into blocks".
"We have to be prepared, because this is a scenario that could certainly happen. Spain has less energy dependence on Russia, it has a more positive situation...," Robles said, adding that nevertheless, the country, is facing a very difficult winter.
Recall also that earlier we reported that about half of the inhabitants of Germany are worried that because of the shortage of Russian gas in winter they can freeze. A 75% increase in fuel prices will be a hardship for many Germans.
