Gorin believes that Russians began to choose trips abroad more often because of the availability of air transportation and stabilization of currency fluctuations. Ostrovok.ru believes that this is influenced by the simplification of obtaining a visa. Thus, Bulgaria and Romania will start issuing Schengen in the near future.
At the same time, Russian residents began to choose Turkey for traveling less often. According to "Yandex Travel" the number of booked tickets for this destination has decreased by 7%. According to analysts of the service, the reason may be high inflation in the country, the growth of tourists' expenses on the spot.
OneTwoTrip reported that the share of Istanbul has decreased by a third, and Antalya is no longer in the top 10 in-demand foreign destinations.
In "Sletat.ru" said that the demand for travel to Vietnam increased four times, to Mauritius - eight times, to Cuba and Indonesia - twice, Thailand - one and a half times.
There is a decrease in demand for travel to neighboring countries. The number of air tickets sold to Armenia decreased by 12%, to Kazakhstan - by 13%. Interest increased for trips to Azerbaijan (39%) and Georgia (5%).
Trips to China are popular among Russian travelers - the number of sales in January-March increased 14 times year-on-year.
According to Dmitry Gorin, 4% of the population now travel abroad on a regular basis, and in 2019 - 7%. In his opinion, further growth potential is limited from-sanctions, the rise in the cost of vacation.
"Sletat.ru" calculated that the average check for travel to Egypt increased by 17% - to 154.3 thousand rubles, to the UAE - by 17.5% - to 209.2 thousand rubles, to Thailand - by 10%, to 236.7 thousand rubles.
