It is noted that the two rows of seats will be removable, and the front passenger seat will be foldable.
Renault has unveiled a new seven-seat minivan called Grand Kangoo, which is based on the third generation of the Kangoo model. The car was presented at the IAA Mobility exhibition in Munich and is characterized by a spacious and versatile interior.
The Grand Kangoo offers a wide range of interior transformation options. According to Renault's statement, the car offers 1,024 different configurations thanks to seven individual seats. The Grand Kangoo also offers one of the best third row passenger legroom in its class.
The car features removable seats in the second and third rows, and the front passenger seat folds down, increasing the trunk volume from 500 liters to 3,750 liters. This allows items up to 3.11 meters long to be transported.
The five seats can be folded, moved forward and backward, providing a variety of configurations. All seats are equipped with ISOFIX anchorages and access to the third row is made easier by a larger sliding door compared to the regular Kangoo model.
The Grand Kangoo also features plenty of storage space with a total volume of 58 liters. The car will be available with a tailgate that opens 83 centimeters wide, making it convenient for loading long items. Optional equipment includes a rearview camera, heated front seats and steering wheel, and EasyLink multimedia system.
The engine range includes gasoline, diesel and electric variants with 130, 95 and 121 horsepower respectively. The electric version is equipped with a 45-kilowatt-hour battery and is capable of driving up to 265 kilometers without recharging, while a quick charge of 170 kilometers can be performed in just 27 minutes from a DC device.
The manufacturer will start taking orders for the Grand Kangoo in late 2023, with deliveries beginning early next year. The cars will be assembled at the plant in the French city of Mobeuge.
Recall that earlier Renault also showed a new electric crossover Scenic.
